Why Roberto?
There was only one choice when it came to naming our company and our platform: Pittsburgh Pirates legend and humanitarian Roberto Clemente.
RC21X reflects his legacy: RC for his initials, 21 for the number he wore during his Hall of Fame career, and X for the excellence he represented both on and off the field.
But Clemente’s legacy extends far beyond baseball. He used his platform to champion equality, serve others and make a difference—ultimately losing his life while attempting to deliver humanitarian aid to earthquake victims in Nicaragua.
Those same ideals—service, dependability, innovation and excellence—help inspire what we’re building at RC21X and the Roberto platform.
We’re proud to have the support of the Clemente family and the Roberto Clemente Foundation as we work to honor that legacy.
